Fort Myers, Florida (Primicia Deportiva.com).- On a sunny afternoon, perfect to play soccer, from the center of Ft.Myers on the fields of SWFL Soccer Team started the dreams and excitement of the players to be able to play locally for the first time in front of their own home audience. It is time for the players to showcase what they have in front of their own fans, showing their emotions and joy that this sport brings to them that is called soccer.

The field looked like artificial turf, a perfect field to play soccer, there was no reason for the players not to be able to showcase their abilities. The nice plays and the control of the ball is what is most important and looked at in this new era and time of soccer. There are many examples that can be seen of this style of soccer from the recent major tournament in Europe, Eurocup 2012, or in the South American World Cup Qualifiers for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

The starting eleven players took the field, walking on to the field with the mindset of arriving and playing at the highest level and they get to start off by playing on their own field, at home.

The game started with the players of both teams playing man mark tight so they are familiar with their opposition and able to identify each other’s style of play. There was nice touches and play on the ball, impressive was David Bruzke who plays left back with his touches and control.

Two dangerous and close chances of Orlando City from far distant shots displayed how intense and how much they wanted to win.

Just minutes later the game was interrupted and brought to a stop by the referee because of the strong thunderstorm that was coming in that would bring danger to the players.

It’s too bad the game had to stop, when the game was just warming up, but referee had to stop the game and wait 30 minutes till the strom passed by.

Upon the game restarting the intensity was still the same from before. SWFL Soccer Team attacked down the wings and many times found Perotti creating chances and one play he successfully got to the touchline sending a dangerous low cross but no one was there to hit it.

Though SWFL was creating more chances, Orlando City found the opening with an error of Sharkey, who arrived late to a pass in the middle of the field and Wilson intercepted the ball and crossed it to an alone Josh Fusion who did not forgive the goalie to make it 1-0.

SWFL Soccer Club stayed in the game with still creating chances and right away responded with a goal of their own with wonderful movement on and off the ball from the team and Damian Vincent made his presence known in the area with a strong shot with his right foot to make the score 1-1.

On a corner kick Seamus Sharkey made the right contact with his head to put SWFL soccer Club ahead and made up for his mistake from earlier to make the score 2-1.

Orlando responded from a goal from Grant Reinolds who received a perfectly placed through ball from Josh Fusion to make the score even at 2-2.

Orlando City had two players who created problems and danger from the half till the defensive zone of SWFL Soccer Club, Fusion and Reynolds, teamed up to feed Kyle Wilson who scored from about 25 yards out with a curling left foot shot to make it 3-2. That would bring the end of the first half.

Half-Time: Festivitas for the kids and fans that involved small shooting at goal games, dribbling with the ball, and it was a great atmosphere. The fans were very involved and excited about the game and all the organization was thanks to Teresa Howe , General Manager of SWFL Soccer Club, and the great support and funding of Team Owner Jeff Butzke.

Entering the 2nd Half SWFL Soccer Club picked their heads up and fixed up any problems they were facing in the 1st half especailly in the mid-field and control of the ball. In one play down the middle Damian Vincent moved into space away from his mark and started the play with a chip down the right wing for Pinotti who created a give-and-go with Nick Presti to find himself alone in the 6 yard box and blasted the ball past the goalie to make it 3-3. What a great game.

With control of the ball, Orlando City looked for their play makers and forwards but their passes were interrupted and stopped by SWFL Soccer Club defense.

The game was being played in one side and that was on Orlando City’s. Late into the game, on the right side attacked David Antunez who received the ball and when everyone thought he was going to cross it into the box, instead he took a blazing shot with right foot to make the score 4-3 and surely close the game and give the win to SWFL Soccer Club.

An excellente game with great play from both teams. Without a doubt the fans who came to support the home team at home were able to watch players who took the opportunity and stepped up, with hard work that is starting to form and take place and help these players achieve their dreams.
